Too scared to take a test :(

Last month I was a POASaholic. This month, I didn't want to poas, but decided to on Wednesday which was 6 days after my 3/4day transfer...it was a BFN and I was devestatingly heartbroken. I know it could have been too early to test or it could be a legit BFN. My beta is in 5days and I want to test before hand so that I am prepared for the dreaded call while at work. Originally I said Saturday would be my test date, but now I want to push it out. I honestly, don't ever wanna test, I just want to see if I start bleeding. I wanted to test when I would be home for the day so I could cry my heart out...so the latest testing day would be Sunday. The problem is I am too scared to do it. The thought of it makes, my stomach turn. IF sucks!

I understand the apprehension. I waited until the day before my beta to test. I just wanted to be able to process the info before I got the call while I was at work. Best of luck to you and I really hope you get your BFP!

((hugs)) Before my IVF cycle I was gung-ho about testing out my trigger and then until I got a BFP. Then the more I thought about it I realized how stressful it would be. I probably would have tested before my beta if I hadn't started bleeding so early.

The worst is that it would be another BFN, but it's so hard to be torn between lost hope and hope that it was just too early. Just another part of IF that sucks so bad!! I would definitely test when I could be home for the day too. Heck, I went home from work early the day of my beta, even though I knew it would be a BFN, so I could have time to deal with it.

I am/was the same way.

I wanted to wait until the day before my beta-so I wouldn't obsess over if it was too early, but so I'd know before I got the call.

I started bleeding though and that gave me my answer-I hope you have a better outcome!

I'm sorry. I feel the same way you do. But after my 1st IVF failed I swore that I would test the day before or the morning of my beta......I just feel the need to have a heads up. I don't like being caught off guard with bad news!!

I know exactly how you feel. I've literally been obsessing all day about whether or not I should test and when. My beta is tuesday and not only do I have to work, but I have a busy day of meetings. I am debating testing tomorrow or Sunday. But I am superstitious and feel like I am jinxing it. I swear, every time I've ever taken a test, my period has started immediately after. Basically I am terrified thinking about a bfn.

I was afraid to take the test, too. I finally just decided to wait until the morning of so I'd be prepared. Making a decision on when just made it easier for me. I knew I was going to find out one way or another. I didn't want to see a negative days before and be sad and have to wait around for the official word. I still got that stinkin negative. I'm not sure if I'm much of a help! Love ya, stay strong, and hugs to you.

I am sorry delino and I truly am hoping for the best for you. I didn't test with my last cycle and at the very end when I started spotting with cramps and wished I had tested early because I just wanted to know what my heart and head were already telling me. Since I didn't test early I asked my nurse if she could call me after I was off of work instead of her normal calling time and she honored my request. This allowed me to cry without having to be around everyone at work. Is there a possiblity where you could ask your nurse to do something similar?
