My pregnancy just got called out...

I'm walking past a client in the hallway and he says "Oh, I see you are expecting number 2!"

Luckily, I was able to save us both from great humiliation by being able to say "yes." Because let's be honest... there is no baby bump there, just pudge and maybe some extra special bloat. LOL.... Who does that!?!

    Noooo! Who does that!? I have a rule - unless you look around 7 weeks pregnant, just don't say anything!

    I'm guessing you meant 7 months, and I 100% agree!  If you aren't 100% certain you should generally wait until the woman is in labor before assuming anything :).

    All testing shows both H and I are perfectly normal. Baby Nacho had triploidy.

    Sooooo rude! I can't believe some people. A dj in town said one day: unless I see a baby crowning, I don't ask that question! Lol. A bit overkill, but better that than the other way around. A guy at a Chinese restaurant thought I was pregnant a few years ago (I so was not, was just wearing an empire wasted dress) and he refused to serve me a beer. So not cool!! And so not his job to monitor, anyway...

     But I'm glad you took it well. He was lucky to do that to you and not a more easily offended gal ;)

    I completely agree.  

    Although it is fun to make people squirm. :)  Last time I was pregnant, I said something at lunch with a bunch of ladies that it didn't matter what I was eating, I was getting fat anyway.  Although I was about 5 months, many didn't know that I was pregnant.  The looks on their faces was priceless.  Of course, we all had a good laugh.

    If it doesn't come out of your mouth, though you might as well be asking someone "Are you pregnant or just fat?"  Rude.

    One of my BFFs is due on Monday (!!!) and one day we were out and she kept talking about how strangers would come up and touch her belly...she doesn't have much of a bump..even now. She hates being touched too, so this just grates her nerves.

    She got to the point where when someone would touch her stomach, she'd fake cry about how she doesn't understand why every one thinks she's pregnant...she just gained some weight.

    I love her. Big Smile

    Haha... I really like client so I was kind. However, in my last pregnancy a client that I really don't like started saying "Oh looks like you have big changes" and I was like "What? Huh? Nope, no big changes." He scurried off with his tail between his legs. It was fun. LOL

    Seriously, who does that?!  I was on vacation last year, staying at a B&B, and the owner asked me how far along I was.  I wasn't pregnant, just wearing an empire waist dress!  Granted, I was on my period and I get super bloated during that time, so I had more of a tummy than usual.  She still made me cry!

    OMG it already makes me cringe, just the thought of someone touching my bump, when I have one!  People can be soo ridiculous. I don't say anything about someone's pregnancy unless they've mentioned it first, even if they  about 12 months pregnant :-P

    Omg nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That is AWFUL!!!!!  I don't know how I'd be able to react to that...I think I'd just stop and stand there with my mouth gaping open.

    Two women I know have been asking me constantly for about a year if I'm pg. Sorry, if I was desperately ttc, how horrible would that be? I finally snapped at one of them and told her never to ask again, even if she can see an actual baby emerging. Like, if I was, I'd tell you when I choose, not when you guess. Out of childish spite, they're going to be the last to know. I'm sooooooo mature.

    Two days ago I had the one lady I work with and also hardly talk to say "Can I ask you a personal question?"  Not thinking it was what I thought she was going to ask... "Are you pregnant?"  I quickly said no because I don't feel it's any of her business right now.  It completely threw me off, she just said she thought she overheard people talking about it at work.  There's another girl who is pregnant there so I just said they probably were talking about her and you misunderstood.  I was just shocked at the rudeness, especially when we don't even talk a lot!

    Oh man... I have a chubby stomache and I teach Kindergarten.  Every year, I get a few kids who try to convince the class that there is a baby in teacher's stomache!  At least this next year, there really will be for once! haha!
