I don't think my milk came in "fully" for about two weeks. It showed up on day 4-5, but it definitely took a while for my body to regulate. I wasnt having engorgement until a couple weeks in.
If you're worried that you're not producing enough, nurse, nurse, nurse! And stay positive - don't doubt your body's ability and never quit on a bad day. Definitely call a LC or LLL for advice ad help on how to increase your supply. Also, check out kellymom.com for lots of great BFing advice and tips. Good luck!
Mine was really late too. At the hospital one of the nurses suggested (as mom to mom rather than nurse to patient) to drink a beer and that seriously worked wonders. Non alcohol beer works too it's the brewers yeast.
I am not really sure. I think it is the fact that LO will nurse FOREVER and still not be satisfied. I can pump and get 2 oz in 15 mins so I think I have plenty of milk but not sure why LO can't get enough from me.

Aw, don't worry! This is totally normal. LO is not seeming satisfied because he's a newborn, and they literally would suck ALL THE TIME if they could. How often are you nursing? I know there were times where it was every hour in those first couple weeks. Hang in there - your body will adjust to his needs.
This happened to me after both of my c-sections. I never produced milk. I reason it (which may not be true I may just not produce milk) that because I was only allowed a clear liquid diet for the day of delivery and two days in recovery that I hadn't taken in enough calories to produce milk. All is fine with both my daughters. They were formula fed (goodstart) and both happy and healthy.
Re: Still waiting for milk?
Ive never had that issue. In fact, my milk came in earlier each time - I've had 3 c-sections.
Maybe call a Lactation Consultant?
The c/s shouldn't affect your milk supply.
