Hi gang, my kids just turned 1. What is a typical feeding schedule for you? I'm wondering about milk and solids. My kids get their sippy cup with milk three times a day ( 16-18 oz)' and solids. Do you give milk or water with their meals? How much do you typically feed them solids? I feel like my kids could sit in their chairs all day and eat. It kills me how I see some kids just sit quietly in their high chairs while the parents are eating. Not mine, when they see us eating they want to eat too. Just curious what you do.
Thanks.
Re: How much to feed 1 year old twins
I did milk 3 times a day. Because my girls have always been stubborn eaters and would rather drink their calories vs. eat them, I tried to just serve water during meals so that they'd eat their food. I would serve 3 meals and then a snack or two in between meals or before/after their nap.
DH works late, so I fed (and still do b/c of his work schedule) them separately. If he was/is home before their bed time though and we're sitting down for dinner, they too would get a small snack (fruit or cheerios or yogurt, for ex.) in their highchairs while we ate. That way, everyone is content.

after 10 weeks of bedrest for contractions and shorting cvx they arrived at 32 weeks!
I don't think she was saying it's bad for kid to sit in high chairs and not eat...I think he meant that as soon as you put her kids in their chair, they want to eat. That's how my son is, too...if we're eating, he wants to eat too.
