safe cleaner for hardwood floors?

My floors are in desperate need of being scrubbed.  I'm not sure what to use though.  I have decided it is unrealistic on my part to keep ds off the floors while I am cleaning them.  So what can I use that is chemical free and safe for him to crawl around on while wet?

Thanks.

  • Steam mop or vinegar/water in a spray bottle with a microfiber mop.

This is what I would do if I had wood floors. I use a vinegar/ water solution and microfiber mop on my tile floors.

  • I use vinegar. I do use a steam mop on my floors which perhaps I shouldnt do. My downstairs floors are made of 95 year old wood, so I'm more careful and just use water and vinegar.
