So B has decided that 3 naps a day is no fun, now we're down to 2 naps a day. I'm just wondering how everyone else's LO's are doing with nap-time.
1.) How many naps a day does LO take?
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!).
3.) Where do they nap?
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react?
Re: Nap Poll
1.) How many naps a day does LO take? 3
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!) 2 are 30 min, 1 is up to 2 hours
3.) Where do they nap? 2 are on her own in either the pack n play or stroller. 1 is on me
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? No big deal. When she's tired she'll look for a boob, latch and sleep.

1.) How many naps a day does LO take? He takes 2.
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). The first is usually about an hour and a half long, the second is about an hour long.
3.) Where do they nap? He naps in the middle of my bed for now, transitioning to the crib soon. If we are driving somewhere during nap-time he sleeps pretty well in the car.
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? If he only has one nap (usually the morning/early afternoon one) he will be super cranky at night and has problems falling asleep. We have witnessed this too many times so now we are super careful about making sure he naps both times.
1.) How many naps a day does LO take?
2-3. Seems like when he's home w/us, he takes 3 but when he's with MIL he only takes 2.
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!).
45 min - 2 hours
3.) Where do they nap?
At home, he's in his crib. At Grandma's house he's in a pack n play in a bedroom.
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react?
DS is pretty easy, he can sleep really well in his carseat, so if we're out and he's tired, he usually just goes to sleep either in the car or wherever we are. If we have people over, he still takes a nap in his room.
1.) How many naps a day does LO take? 2-3
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). 30 min-3 hrs, it just depends
3.) Where do they nap? Just started getting him to nap in his crib about 2 weeks ago, in the PnP at daycare
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? No big deal. I can nurse him anywhere and he will fall asleep whereever if he is tired.
3 naps: morning nap is usually about 1.5 hours; middle nap can be a couple hours and the last is only a cat nap for about 30 minutes lately.
Usually in his crib unless we are out and about in the afternoon where he'll nap in the ergo (while running errands or at the pool)
It seems he fusses when it's bedtime if he has stayed up too late and overstimulated but lately we've been pretty good at making sure he's down before 7pm. Being out with the neighbors & kids usually makes him more tired but we always calm him down with the last 4oz or so in the dark in his room right before putting him down
1.) How many naps a day does LO take? 0-2 (if he doesn't take a real nap, he at least catnaps)
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). 10 min cat naps to 2 hours
3.) Where do they nap? My arms, the crib, the carseat if we're out running errands.
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? Since we really don't have a schedule, nothing is really broken. He just catnaps in the carseat.
He sleeps well at night, but naps just aren't happening. I've tried everything and I've just come to the conclusion that he'll nap when he's tired. Sometimes I do let him "fuss it out" in his crib and he ends up taking a 2 hour nap, sometimes I get him up after 20 min of fussing and he's ready to play. As consistent as I keep our routine, his response to the routine is always different.
1) 2 naps a day
2) about 1.5-2 hours each
3) In the crib
4)I NEVER break the nap schedule by taking her out when she should be sleeping. This will result in disaster. I'll have people over, no problem, but when it's nap time, we don't leave...either that, or I'll bring a PNP and have her nap in someone else's house. Stroller or car naps are shorter and not as restful for her.
BFP #2 - MC Aug 2012 - D&C w/ complications
1.) How many naps a day does LO take? 2 maybe 3 if we are going somewhere for the evening. Wake 6:30 Nap 8:30-10:30 then Naps from 1-3 3rd nap possible 5:30-6
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). above
3.) Where do they nap? Crib has from day 1
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? DS actually does amazing with this much better then DD. I have found that he just has to adapt because DD still needs to do things etc. So he will fall asleep in the grocery still, in the sling etc. If we are out late he will just fall asleep in my arms, DD would never do that.

1.) How many naps a day does LO take? 2 on a good day
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). 1 hour
3.) Where do they nap? In his crib or on my lap.
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? He gets cranky and rubs his eyes a bunch.
2.) How long on average do they nap (I know this changes a lot!). On a good day, naps last 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
3.) Where do they nap? DD naps in her swing, but occasionally in her crib or car seat.
4.) If you have to break their nap schedule by doing something such as go out with LO or have people over, how does LO react? It sucks because she has a hard time if we're out and her schedule is off. She gets crabby. Fourth of July we had a lot of people over and she couldn't take her afternoon nap or go to bed for the night on time because there were just too many distractions and too much noise. I think I finally got her down for the night at like 10:30pm compared to her normal 7:30pm. I hate when her schedule is off because she seems so miserable but at the same time, we can't stay home all day every day.
