I am mostly venting but at almost 6 weeks PP, I have a long way to go to be physically back to normal. My body is completely different, I can barely button pants three full sizes bigger than what I wore pre pregnancy, and to add insult to the injury even my rings are nowhere close to fitting. IRL I am surrounded by ladies who looked completely normal by this stage in the game and I feel really alone withe these uglies. Anyone else?

Re: Anyone else not 'bounced back' at 6 weeks?

I am 2 pant sizes bigger than pre-pregnancy but only have 6lbs to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight. My body is shaped different now. But I am trying to remember it can take months to get back to where I was.
What has helped me is shopping for some new pieces of clothes that fit me properly and look nice. This had made me feel so much better and keeps me from wearing my maternity clothes which are too big now.
I know how you feel because I'm right there with you. I'm very fortunate that I don't have to go back to work. I couldn't imagine trying to go back to work still feeling the way I do. Special shout out to all working mothers!
Wait any of you thought at six weeks you'd be back to where you were 40 weeks before?? 9 months in 9 months out and for me it takes a year for my hips to shrink all the way down.
People who look normal at six weeks just know how to dress their new body which is an important thing to learn.
