UO Anyone?

Is anyone here today or is everyone still recovering from the holiday yesterday? (Atleast those in the USA)

Re: UO Anyone?

  • I don't like dill pickles unless they are fried.

  • I'm here.  We're not big about 4th of July, so we didn't go anywhere.

I halfway miss bedsharing.  Maybe it's his waking every hour, but I'm not getting as much sleep.  Plus I'm always wondering if he's ok and turning up the monitor too loud so I can hear his breathing.  I'm sure I'll get more comfortable with him in his own crib soon, probably when he starts sleeping longer.

    Same here!!

I really don't have an issue with DD nursing to sleep. She'll outgrow it; no 7 year olds nurse to sleep.

I hate scented candles. I kind of have a thing about fire, as in, I don't like fire, so having scented candles lit through the house freaks me out. DH, on the other hand, is a total girl and LOVES them, so I follow him around blowing them out if he lights one in a room that we're not really in.

  • Now I want fried pickles!!

Mine is the stupid "i hate drama" quotes that people post on Facebook.  It seems like 100% of the time they are posted by people who cause and create their own drama in the first place.

I don't mind scented candles but my DH likes all of the fruity ones or the food scented ones. I would much rather have clean linen or something. And I also go around blowing them out when we aren't in a room!

Oh and solids stink! I am all for keeping him on the bottle, it is so much easier!

My new UO is people who go onto certain boards, post a genuinely insensitive "question" then get flamed for it, then complain that people have been rude to you.  Just because everything worked out the way you wanted for your birth, doesn't mean it is that way for everyone.  It honest to God shouldn't matter how our babies came into this world, it is really none of your business why people choose or are sometimes forced into repeat c sections.  Some people HAVE to have a csection for a wide number of reasons, even though they would do anything in the world for a normal birth.  Im sure the people on these boards have done their fair share of research to come up with their decision.  Insensitive.  I'm sorry you feel that way.

  • I have two UOs..

First, beotches who think that everyone who has had a c section did it out of convenience or choice.  Also, that women who have repeat c sections do it out of convenience or choice.

Second, beotches who keep posting around where they are unwanted.

    Agree.

    Also:

    1) I think margarine is disgusting and people should just suck it up and eat real butter. If eaten in moderation it is fine.

    2) It bugs me when people complain about their LOs not napping when said baby sleeps 10-12 hours straight at night. Sure it would be great to have a baby that naps and sleeps all night but I would take me some uninterrupted night sleep over a few naps given the choice. I guess the grass is always greener though...

    Totally agree, margarine is gross.

Wow seriously, you all are going to judge me w/o even knowing my whole story!? And don't tell me to "GTFO" and make me feel unwelcome here-shame on you!!!
  • I think we can read your whole stories posted on the C-Section board, then again on the Natural board... aaaand, they don't really jive.   I feel a GBCB coming on...

ETA:  Real butter rocks my world, I have no shame in eating it straight up, but I like it better mixed with a little bit of honey.

I don't need to know your whole story. All I know is you are an insensitive b*tch parading around like you effing own the place because you had a vaginal delivery and fee load off people. I will make you feel unwelcome here so that you will leave because I don't like you.

My UO: I can't stand high and mighty people that can't accept the fact that they are not wanted.

My UO is I don't see anything wrong with letting my ds taste different things that he can't quite eat yet (like ice cream). I like introducing him to new tastes and don't think it's harmful at all.

Appreciate this you wanker.  The most important thing in the world to me was to bring my child into this world the safest way possible and that was a c-section because she was breech.  And I will NOT VBAC for the next one, even if its an option.  My c/s experience was amazing and I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I do not feel the dying need to have a baby rip my lady bits to pieces and I do not feel like less of a woman because I didn't have "the vaginal experience".

That's too bad you couldn't breastfeed but I bet you could have tried harder.  My supply sucked at the beginning and I had to supplement with formula, but after weeks of fenugreek, domperidone, power pumping, putting baby to breast every two hours, seeing countless LC's and drinking more water than any human should, my supply has held steady and we have been EBF for 4.5 months.  Why didn't u seek out an LC  and really try harder?  Will u next time?  See, I can be a judgemental jackass too.

Oh, and FYI, if you don't want to be flamed, don't post the same BS on multiple boards and then bash the women from one board on another.  That is friggin stupid.

  • I don't like to dress LO in licensed apparel, especially Winnie the Pooh.  In my area we really only have a Wal-Mart to shop at and they sell a ton of it, so that's all you see babies in.  I will not dress my child in it until he chooses it himself.  I also avoid over-popular things, like monkeys.  I have nothing against these things, I'd just rather have my child be unique!

Just let it go, bringing it up only reminds everyone of how mad they are.  Not very smart.
