Happy fire story!

Since I've been such a Debby Downer lately, here's something good!
We went out to dinner with friends on Tuesday night. Ate at one of the restaurants up in the fire area, since they'd been closed for about a week due to evacuations.
There was a large group of firefighters from Oregon there, too. We offered to buy them drinks but they declined, so Charlie gave each of them a high five. And one of the guys gave him his baseball cap... a really nice one!
Didn't think to take a pic until yesterday when we were at home, but I sent it to the fire department to share with them. Awesome experience!

Hello, new to this board but I'm also in the Springs. I love the story of your experience.
I feel our community came together for support amazingly.
Just had to pop in and say that a. this is a really cute story, but mostly B... I can't tell you how much I love your son's name! I'm a big fan of traditional, sort of classic names - especially for boys. Charles Henry... *swoon* is darling. Oh and the p.p. with little Margo Jane, also super cute. I love seeing what everyone has named their little ones.
