Only 1 Heartbeat today

I guess im off the twin list... Dr said it was most likely a genetic issue that caused it. He said the blood flow was excellent and the baby thats still there is big and has a strong heartbeat. He didnt tell me what it was but we heard it and it was super fast. ETA: Dr said it was 168bpm, which is perfect.

I'm so sorry you lost the one twin. :-( I'm very glad, though, that the other is doing well. I think that kind of situation is so hard - on the one hand you feel you should be happy about the twin still living, and on the other hand you want to mourn the one you lost. I think it's just fine to do both.

If you feel like you need support from women who have gone through this, I know there are a few on PGAL who have lost one twin. Actually one did very recently at around 11w. I'm sure you're emotions are conflicting right now, and don't feel like it's wrong to cry because one of the babies is still alive. It's right to cry for the baby you lost and it's right to be happy for the one who's still there. ((Hugs))
