What formula do you use and why?

Our daughter is 11 weeks old and I am returning to work in 5 weeks. Up until now she has been exclusively breastfed, but when I go back to work we are going to have to supplement with some formula during the day. What formula do you suggest and why? She has never had any stomach issues or reflux problems.

we use similax just switched to sensitive. my doctor reccommended it.

i am supplementing with enfamil newborn.. and I am going back to work july 24... It has a TON of iron in it. I even makes her poop smell like iron, and makes it explosive... We did use enfamil gentle ease and it seemed like it made her gassy- eve though it was supposed to help not make her gassy. I saw somewhere where gerber good start was supposed to be good if you were supplementing with breastmilk... i need help too figuring out what to get...

I am in the same situation. Our doctor said to start using a basic formula...not to worry about soy or whatever. If DS has any issues with it then we would take it from there. He also said that generic store brands are fine and cheaper unless there is an issue.

We use Similac because that is what she was getting in the hospital, so that is just what i ended up buying. So far so good.

We are on the fifth formula. He couldn't digest the soy. Then he was lactose intolerant. Then he couldn't digest the corn in the nutramegen. Now he's on Similac alimentum. It works perfect. Huge change in him. If I have another kid I am just starting with this one. It's hypoallergenic has no dairy or corn.

We use Similac Sensitive. With DD1 we went through every type of formula there is. She had really bad acid reflux so we tried the Enfamil AR which constipated her and made her miserable. We tried soy, we tried no milk protein (she hated all of them). We tried Enfamil gentlease which she ate (she wouldn't even eat the others) but didn't seem to like very much. Then by accident (because we couldn't find the gentle ease ) we tried similac sensitive and she loved it
