I love the fact that he can sit up on his own and hold himself upright when I carry him. Just those two simple things make life easier. Plus being at home for the summer has really helped. I don't feel like I'm running around like a crazy person. And he's really enjoying food now, which is fun.
Yes, E is now finally back on a schedule. She is not STTN, but now I am only getting up with her once or twice instead of four or five times. I'll take that
It is also easier now to give her solids. She loves them and is quite the piggy.
The only thing that is difficult at times is her attachment to me. Sometimes she gets very upset if I am not within reach or in her line of vision. When she's fussy like this, I am the only one who can soothe her much to DH's dismay...
I'm not sure I can say easier, but definitely "funner"! For someone who isn't mobile, and can't talk she is very opinionated. Watching her personality develop and possibly seeing a glimpse into our toddler years...we are going to have our hands full!
It feels easier to me because I no longer feel like a new mom, he can sit up by himself and is more interested in his toys. Now that he can sit up by himself he will play for 20-30 mins in his PNP so I can get things done. I am also more comfortable taking him places. When he was first born I was always nervous taking him out to eat, shopping or basically anywhere public. (I didn't want to be the lady with the screaming baby..lol). It is also nice that DH is comfortable with him now. He had never been around babies so he would ask me a million questions! Glad he is comfortable now taking his son anywhere by himself!
Yes! Around 5.5 months I feel like everything just got easier. My DS is so happy all the time and he is more content playing on the floor, sitting in his jumper, running errands with me, and even sitting in high chairs when we go out to eat. 3months ago I would never have dreamed how happy my colicky baby could become!
Yes! She's incredible! It's a whole new game. I love how independent she is now. She entertains herself and is so interactive. I loved the newborn stage too, but it's just so different now. We're having so much fun together!
