first thing in the morning

I am totally enamored by my little baby and can stare at her little face for hours but nothing beats the butterflies-in-the-belly giddiness I get when I first lay my eyes on her first thing in the morning. I don't know if it's the hours sleeping are the longest stretch from not looking at her or that I simply miss her when she's not within arms reach but that morning surge of oxytocin rocks.

When is your ultimate warm-fuzzy time to gaze at your bundle of cuteness?

    For me it's also first thing in the morning.  He is in a good mood, laughs, and just being in bed with him and DH is a great feeling.

    I love morning also, I get the most smiles in the morning and love to lay on the couch half asleep feeding her and cuddling, but my favorite time is going to pick her up from daycare after being at work all day. I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve, I walk as quickly as I can down that hallway to see my beautiful baby girl! Big Smile

    Morning time for me too!!  I got the first real smiles yesterday and I've been coaxing them outta him all morning :) love!!!!

    It doesn't matter what time of day it is. Whenever DD finishes nursing and looks up at me with a smile and milk dribbling down her chin, I just melt.

    I love it when she first wakes up, whether from overnight or from a nap. She started smiling a couple of weeks ago and that is when I get the most from her. :)

    Mornings as well... My DD has the best morning stretching routine followed by a barrel full of smiles. As soon as I un-Velcro her swaddle her arms go "fling" and she arches her back and stretches for about 10 minutes. She is so warm and snuggly... The best is when she looks right at me and gives me a huge 'hi mom" smile. My heart melts every time.

    My favorite time is at night when LO falls asleep in my arms. Her peaceful look is soothing, especially if we had a rough day. Her innocence makes me realize that her fussiness is not because she hates me, but because she us only a baby and can't help it.

    LO has started making eye contact while nursing. I love that. Plus, he'll talk to me when he's getting change or just wakes up. But, I think my favorite is in the morning when he's waking up. He stretches with his little feet curled into his butt and his hands fisted by his head and grunts and groans, sounding like a snuffling horse! It's so cute. It gets everyone's attn and they come to see if we're awake, or just stirring for a feeding. It goes on for about 10 minutes before those two little dark eyes open completely and he makes eye contact with me. I love seeing the spark of recognition.
