A mini update on us

I don't remember what I've shared, but I know it hasn't been much lately.
DH and BM met with their lawyers nearly 2 months ago to try to agree to something. They we're supposed to send their response the next week...still nothing. BM keeps saying she doesn't know whats taking so long blah blah. Our lawyer is working on the papers now to go ahead and file...DH goes in next Friday to sign them.
They're also filing contempt for the whole last name/school issue we dealt with. I don't fully understand how that works since it's been resolved (as far as we can tell anyway, I guess we'll see how it plays out with school in the fall) But DH said since she was in violation of the CO they can still file it.
She claims she can't find a full time job (maybe true I suppose) so she can't afford the gas to do half the driving. Meanwhile, her and her DH have both gotten brand new cars, they took a vacation, SS keeps talking about all the new stuff they keep buying him and so on and so on...
On the non blended front...I'm still cooking this baby. It's a pretty boring pregnancy, but I suppose boring is good. I applied for a promotion at work, but it's still an open listing, so I'm not sure when I expect to hear anything. It would be a huge raise, which couldn't come at a better time since our house downpayment is slowly going to the lawyer. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

I totally forgot your were pregnant!!!
Hopefully now that things are with the lawyers BM will realise she has to conceed just a little. Glad things seem to have quitened down on that front.

personally I would be bullshiit if BM claimed she "didn't have gas money" My response would be: "great, I don't either, guess you aren't getting SS back"
but I'm in a really mean/ spiteful mood today.
is it in your CO that she does half the driving? you could file contempt on that as well, since you're already headed back to court

It doesn't really seem to be a big deal at this point. I don't think DD really gets it. She's not even 2 1/2 yet, so while she'll tell you she's going to have a baby brother, I don't think she has any idea what that means.
SS is just sort of meh about it. I think it's kind of a been there, done that for him. His birthday is 6 weeks after my due date, so that seems to be the only association he really makes with it lol Anytime someone says something about the baby being born he reminds us that after that it will almost be his birthday. Typical kid I suppose.
