So here's my review of last night's show...
Squeeze was A.MAZ.ING! Played for an hour and 45 minutes and they did all the hits! I had even forgotten about "Hourglass" and could've sworn it was a cover song, not one of theirs. Good thing DH had his smartphone or I'd have driven myself crazy... yep.. it's their song. Loved it!
Now for the B52s. Kind of disappointing. Fred and Kate were great. Cindy was not on her game in quite a lot of the harmonies. Some really off-tone notes there. Their act felt a little forced, too.. can't quite put my finger on exactly why. Maybe because they've been doing it for 30 years or so! They only played about 45 minutes, but they did a lot of stuff in that short amount of time. Ended with Rock Lobster, of course. Still very campy and fun, tho!
Overall, a good show in a really neat venue. A couple of F16s flew over during the Squeeze set, so that was cool. I think they were just out flying and not there to buzz the crowd, but they did anyway!
Re: Squeeze-great, B52s-so so
Sounds like a fun night! Although if we've got a babysitter I'm pretty happy with sitting in a starbucks and calling it fun. . . ;-)
I think the last concert we went to was my nephew's band - it was a blast.
