Don't want to panic but..

So for a few days I've been having brown spotting which I have heard from you ladies is totally normal and I have just been going about my business. Then this morning in the shower I notice that the spotting has turned to black clumps mixed in with a little red...not big clumps just little ones. Should I be worried? there is still brown too...and I don't have any cramping

  • It very well could be nothing at all, but I would definitely call my doctor just to be sure and to ease my mind!  T & P

  • Don't panic.  I had that same thing a week ago.  Everyone told me not to panic, but it's so hard to not!  I ended up calling my dr., they had me come in and did an ultrasound.  The baby is fine!  The Dr. said it is really common to have first trimester spotting.  Mine was brownish with the occasional small weird clumpy/stingy stuff. (sorry to be so graphic).  The point is, it doesn't hurt to call your doctor.  At this point, he/she is likely the only person that will make you feel better.  Good Luck to you and keep us posted!

  • So sorry that you are going through this. I would also call your doctor. Sending lots of positive thoughts.
  • Always call your doctor when you're having bleeding, even though what you're describing sounds like everything's probably ok.

  • YOu should call your Dr. i dont think any sort of clumps or clots are normal, unless you have an SCH which the Dr would be able to see in an ultrasound.  Good luck!!!!

  • Anytime that spotting is accompanied by tiny pieces of tissue/clots, you should definitely call your doctor. It could be nothing, but they will probably want to see you. Sorry you are experiencing this.

He's my fairytale, a dream when I'm not sleeping.
