Is Mitchell one of those "should stay a last name" kind of names?

It sounds very good with our last name, and we both like it.

Started TTC 2/2009
Started fertility treatments 11/2010
Ovarian dysfunction, LPD, male factor
6 failed medicated IUI's
Pregnant 5/2011 - Miscarriage at 6 weeks due to triploidy
Decided to adopt - 6/2012
SURPRISE! Pregnant without intervention - 7/2012
Sweet Baby James Born 3/2013
Decided to be "One and Done"

....OR NOT.
Pregnant 12/2018 despite birth control pills
Here we go again...
Due 8/26/19!

I also like it; its on my list currently. But envision it as a middle name, but one that he could go by... John Mitchell.

I love Mitchell! It's one of those super masculine names that is a first name and a last name. I've known quite a few guys of all ages named Mitchell and Mitch.

It's okay for a boy, but not a girl! So if it's a boy go for it.

I don't think so, I knew a Mitchell once, he used to date my cousin. It's not one of my favorites, but if you like it go for it.

I love Mitchell!

I actually think it's a very classic, ages well, underused boy name!

I would use it myself someday but a friend named her son an F'd up version of Mitchell: Mitchyl! WTH people!

My 40 year old cousin is Mitchell is it's a legit fn to me. It just seems very dated.
