It varies for DD what she's interested in. We go to the library once a week and she picks out her own books to check out. One week there was a definite animal theme, and another time she wanted books about Easter(no idea why since it was June).
The very hungry caterpillar, Brown bear, brown bear what do you see?, Hand, hand, fingers, thumb, The foot book, The shape of me and other stuff, Dr. Suess books, Guess how much I love you, Sesame street first books (first book of opposites, first book of seasons, etc.), Goodnight Moon
My guy's new thing is The Little People Books. They have a short story but tons of characters and scenes, with flaps. They are perfect for him to look through on his own, too.
