We love A&A swaddling blankets and I would love to use these as newborn swaddlers. Would your recommend them as swaddle blankets? I just ask because we've just used them for the carseat or stroller not for actually swaddling. I'd prefer things rather than the Miracle Blanket or SwaddleMes but wanted to know your thoughts!
Re: What are you going to swaddle your baby in? (STM esp)
I'm going to use whatever works!
For DD, she liked the SwaddleMes so we never had to try anything else. In fact, I had a Miracle Blanket for her and never used it because she didn't break out of the SwaddleMes until she was ready to stop being swaddled.
For this baby, I have a couple of SwaddlePods, a couple of SwaddleMes, and a package of Aden & Anais swaddling blankets. I'll try one and and go from there.

FTM here, but we are going to A&A because they were so highly recommended by my mama friends. Especially since it's so hot and this is a summer baby - I love that they are leightweight.
Regular blankets (2 of them). Like this:

We used SwaddleMe's with DS and they worked great. He was a Houdini so he needed something tight and secure, and I worried about him and loose blankets. It was the only way he STTN (we didn't use anything for naps...if I did that he would have been swaddled most of the day).
This time we're going to try the Woombie from the start so we don't have to deal with the de-swaddling process so much (I hope!). It'll allow her to move her arms around a little bit, but keep her from startling herself and pulling her pacifier out.
Maybe I was doing something wrong but the A&A blankets were always way too big for DD and she would break out of them. We loved the SwaddleMe's and the Halo sleep sacks.
This baby we are prepared with these again and will use whatever works.

Our favorites for swaddling with our first LO were the Aden and Anais blankets. They were the only thing that stayed put, were large enough, and were breathable enough for me to not worry about my child getting her face stuck in the top part of the blanket.
We also tried the swaddle me, carter's receiving blankets, halo sleep sacks, and several others, but the A+A ones were the only ones we liked.
This is brilliant! I kinda giggled during the video though. It's a baby straight jacket.
I cut up pillowcases last time and used those, once it got too hot for regular blankets. This time I think A&A will fit in the budget, but honestly old pillowcases worked just fine.
This.. I am getting the princess posie aden & anais boutique swaddle blankets.. they are $32 now (regular $49)
