Beta #3

979, up from 546 on Sunday. So it didn't quite double - more like 79 percent. RE was fine with it but of course I'm nervous. No more betas - first u/s on Tues. Also kind of annoyed at my reproductive immunologist - the nurse said she just spoke with the dr and they want me have another IVIG this week asap. Um, it's a holiday tomorrow so how am I supposed to set this up so quickly? I really don't want logistics to jeopardize anything! Why didn't they tell me this before? I am one big ball of nerves.

  • Congratulations!  Your doubling time is still just 57 hours, so perfect in the 48-72 hour range they look for.  Good luck with your first u/s Tuesday!  :)

Sorry about the short notice with the IVIG treatments... that's a little ridiculous to expect you to be able to set it up that quickly, especially with it being a holiday week.  I hope that all works out smoothly for you.

  • I think beta#3 is great cutie.

Where are you doing IVIG?  Do you know your dosage?

If you can say what pharmacy to use columbia pharmacy has the best prices on IVIG and they are great to deal with.

Sorry they are stressing you out.  Just do it as soon as you can and try not to worry about it.  It usually took me about a week to get everything done for an IVIG infusion.  I needed 60gr so I had to do 30gr for 2 days.

I had used Walgreens before - I wonder about the difference in price and also their availability. I believe I'm also doing 60 over 2 days. Walgreens has been good to deal with but when I called they still hadn't received the order from the dr yet and everyone was leaving - even so they said they were booked up through the weekend because of the holiday. Dr said early next week would be ok but still makes me nervous and as it is I can't set it up until after the holiday now. I wish the dr's office had at least sent in the order right away.

  • *** Ticker Warning *** Lurker Alert ***

Another vote for Columbia Pharmacy in Chicago.  I used with them for my IVIG meds and they were fantastic!!!! Over the top customer service!!  Awesome to deal with!  Cannot say enough good things about them.

I would also get last minute instructions to do an IVIG infusion from my RI too.  Frustrating!  Several times Columbia would stop everything and put together my customized package at the last minute.  I had to have special size and types of IV needles and extra saline solution added to my box.

If the regularly scheduled UPS/FEDEX pickup had already happened at the store, then one of the pharmasticts would personally hand deliver my package to the local UPS/FEDEX on their way home before shipping closed so I could get the package the next morning.

And they had the best / lowest prices on IVIG that I could find... I would switch from Walgreens to Columbia in a heart beat.

TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages. Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011. VOTE on my Name List Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
