Any tips for when baby is fighting sleep? It seems here lately she'll sleep for a few minutes then wake up & cry. It takes how long to get her to actually sleep. Then when she is sleeping, I keep wondering if she's gonna wake up, so I have trouble sleeping. And it seems like she'll wake up when I do finally fall asleep. Ugh.
Or does this happen to everyone?
Re: Fighting sleep
My LO will fight sleep when he is overtired. This happens when he takes catnaps during the day instead of 1-3 hour naps like he usually does. It's hard those days/evenings. I try rocking, nursing, or using a paci. He looks so tired but will not give it up. I think during these times he has gas or something. So I also try to burp him or bicycle his legs to get things moving. Eventually after a few hours he will fall asleep. I know it's exhausting!
Sometimes I will lay him in his crib, he will fuss for a few minutes, I will check on him, put his paci back in, and then leave, and repeat a couple times. This will sometimes get him to sleep.
You aren't alone. I think all parents go through this!
This too! The white noise drowns out the silence and other noises in the house that may wake him up. This has helped me too.
Make a pregnancy ticker
In both the living room & her room (the 2 rooms she sleeps in) there's air conditioners running. But things still make her jump & wake her up it seems.
Thankfully she's doing better today......and of course as soon as I type that she starts fussing! Lol!
