I saw your post about the weather! We live in the Chicago suburbs and got terrible weather on Friday night :( I'm sorry to hear that you lost some things :(

    Thank you so much.  We are lucky compared to others in our neighborhood who lost huge chunks of siding, etc... But it still stinks.  We are really strapped financially and not sure how we are going to pay for things, but I'm just relieved that our family is ok.  Where in the suburbs are you?  I am way southwest past Yorkville...

    We are in the Plainfield area. But, my mom lives in Lockport and they got a lot of damage as well. I hate bad storms. I do not have a basement and of course my dh was gone when all of this happened.

    Plainfield is relatively close to us!  Yeah, we don't have a basement either, but luckily DH was home with me.  We should consider getting together at some point if you're interested.  I could always eat, and meeting people off thebump is always a good time.
