My LO just got diagnosed with an egg allergy--and for the rest of the day we are pretty good on foods for her---but breakfast will be tough. She loves egg type products--french toast, waffles, pancakes.
Before realizing her egg allergy we would give her pancakes and a fruit as a side. She does love yogurt, but we usually give it to her as a mid morning snack--around 10 or so.
Any suggestions? ideas? I am a SAHM during the summer months, so it doesn't have to a be a super quick and easy breakfast idea.
Re: Breakfast ideas
1 Banana sliced, peanut butter on the slices, 8oz of Whole Milk
Rice cereal fruit milkshake (whole milk, rice cereal, fruit of choice: blueberries, strawberries, mango, pineapple, raspberries, etc.)
Whole grain toast with peanut butter with applesauce/fruit mixed in Oatmeal
Fruit smoothie (berries, whole milk or yogurt) with cheerios or kix cereal
Alternative to traditional pancakes:

This is my siggy. Love it.
Thanks for the ideas.
She hasn't had peanut butter yet, and the allergist said because she wasn't exposed to it-they can't test for it. Her egg allergy seems to be mild in that it only is causing her eczema, but we have epipens in our house just in case. Unfortunately in our area we don't have a very good food store that has a lot of allergen items (trader joe's, whole foods or wegmans.) They are about an hour away.
We are going to the local food store tonight to see if I can pick up any other things for her.
Even if it is summer I'm all about the quick and easy. I can't be bothered with cooking so dam early every day.
Refrigerator Oatmeal: https://www.theyummylife.com/Refrigerator_Oatmeal
Oatmeal Breakfast Muffins, these can be made with flax seed to sub the egg out:https://www.sugarfreemom.com/recipes/personal-sized-baked-oatmeal-with-individual-toppings-gluten-free-diabetic-friendly/
In fact, you can use flax to sub out egg in most breakfast goods like pancakes, waffles, even some baked goods. It might take a couple tries but it works.
In addition to all of the other great ideas posted....
