3rd miscarriage...can't believe this is happening again.

I'm new to this board but not new to miscarriages. I think I'm having my 3rd miscarriage. I went to the ER earlier today b/c I noticed a little spotting but there wasn't much they could do for me or tell me, obviously. I'm not even sure why I went. I'm about 7 weeks I think. I haven't had my first ob appointment yet and my periods are pretty irregular so from what I can guess, that's how far a long I am/was. Nothing has been confirmed but I know what's happening (spotting, intense cramping, etc. etc.) It's only a matter of time. I have an appointment on Monday for an ultrasound so I'm sure they'll confirm it then. I just wanted to introduce myself, I'll probably be around a lot. It's hard to talk to people who haven't been through this. It always seems like they say the wrong thing so it's nice to be able to connect with you guys Also, I'm not sure what my siggy looks like. The last time I posted on here, I was actually pregnant. I had a baby in September of 2011 so I'm thinking it's still from that. Needless to say, it's not accurate and I need to change it.

I'm so sorry for your losses - this really is a board no one wants to have to visit - but the support here is great. I really hope and pray you are not miscarrying - please keep us updated.

Spotting and cramping do not necessarily mean you are miscarrying. It doesn't sound like you know for sure when you ovulated, so you could just be earlier than you think. Without heavy bleeding, the only way to confirm a m/c is to either run two beta tests (and see them lower not rise) or an ultrasound (if your betas are even high enough and you are truly far enough along). Good luck at your dr.'s appointment!!

I'm so sorry. I've had four m/c's, and I truly would not wish this pain on my worst enemy. I hope you get some answers at your u/s tomorrow.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also just had my third miscarriage and had a DS in June 2011 so we are kind of similar timing wise. I'm really sorry that you're going through this, I totally get what you mean about not believing it's happening again. I felt so strongly I wouldn't have three, it just seemed unreal. (( Hugs ))

Thanks so much for the kind words. I can tell this board is amazing already. I've spent most of today taking it really easy. It seems like maybe as long as I'm not doing too much, the spotting subsides. Maybe it's just a coincidence but it's as good of an excuse as any to spend the day catching up on the DVR. Thank God my husband is so amazing. He's been taking care of DS all day (you should see the outfit he has him in today....not even close to matching. lol). I'm praying that this is all nothing or just a sign I need to slow down. I had my blood drawn yesterday in the ER and my betas were 11,876. I think I'm around 5-6 weeks so that sounds right. With that being such a good number, I can't help but be hopeful. But with my second mc, we were able to see a strong heartbeat at 6w3d but I had a missed mc at 8w, discoverd at 12w so I know anything can happen.
