3rd Trimester

who hasn't done anything?

Who is not to afraid to admit that they have not really done anything?  I purchased a pump and have started to wash some clothes today.  Other than that....I have not done anything.  When I work, I am gone 15hrs out of the day and when I am actually home...there is simply no energy.  I am desperately in need of some motivation.=0(

Aside from getting the essentials this weekend I have done nothing.  The poor kid doesn't even have a room yet because we haven't figured that whole thing out yet and who's going to give up the "get away" space.  She'll be in our room for a little while so we have time.  I havent' even ordered the crib yet.

  • Me! DH and I are driving to my hometown for my shower in a few days. We will be picking up the crib my mom is giving us and bring it back. The only baby stuff I have is sitting in a bag in her empty room. (A couple gifts: clothes, baby towel, blanket etc.) We are waiting to see we get at the shower before we start buying stuff. I feel behind too when I see all of these woman who are only 28 weeks and their nursery's are totally done! Wow! We will have to get moving when we get back from my shower. My sister had both her babies at 36 weeks! Went into labor naturally and everything.  Ahh! Hopefully my little girl stays put until her DD~!

  • I've just recently started doing things. The nursery is semi-complete, it still needs a little fine tuning. I washed clothes maybe Wednesday, folded them Thursday, lol. It is a lot of work and I wish I hadn't waited until the last minute, but we just moved in maybe three weeks ago. I agree, just the commute to and from work is exhausting for me and when I come home I want to do nothing.

  • We have setup the crib. That's it! I haven't pulled out any of the clothes from storage to wash/arrange. I haven't pulled out any of the things from storage like the swing, infant seat, PNP, etc. LO's room is also full of things that need to be moved to the basement. I also haven't bought any of the things on my list. So no, you are certainly not the only one!

  • LO's room still has the guest bed and furniture in it. All of LO's stuff is neatly stacked in the closet... Waiting for someone to take apart the bed and bring it to the basement. But even then I still have no where to put the stuff that is stacked in the closet. I have washed all the NB and 0-3 month clothes. None of the toys have been opened and nothing has been washed.. Like pacifiers and bottles.

Oh and the crib is still packed up in my neighbors basement. They are on vacation until tomorrow...

If he were to come today I have clothes, diapers, wipes, and a bassinet for him to sleep in... Just the necessities!

    You are not alone!

  • I have all of her clothes washed and ready to go, but that's it. We are moving this next week so I don't have anything else ready and thankfully I have some time. I hope some time in August I hit the nesting stage!!

  • I didn't do anything until about 35weeks.  2 weeks later and we have just about everything done- so you have plenty of time.  I was panicking around 32 weeks because I was still unable to start

Yeah, this poor child doesn't even have clothing purchased yet, let alone washed. The crib is already set up because we moved and the movers set it up for us. Although it's on the lowest height setting so we'll have to fix that. I had a grand scheme to get her cute girl bedding but as my due date gets closer and I keep thinking about all the baby costs, DS's old sheets are looking mighty good right about now. Many of our baby things (swing, PnP, car seat) were broken in the move so I still have to make those purchases too. It irritates me beyond belief to have to re buy all those things so I'm just putting it off.

  • I didn't really do anything until 37/38 weeks when I had a bunch of false labor and panicked.  I'm now 40w3d, no longer working, and still pregnant.  Everything is done and I'm so bored.  You just never know when the baby will come, or not.

  • Wait a few more weeks you will nest!  I got a fire up my arse this weekend and we painted, put things back together and I organized some cloths.  Also wait until after your shower, that made me get really excited last time.

  • I worked up until Friday, so I didn't do anything until today. All I did was set up the bassinet and wash one load of baby clothes. DS was really excited about helping me & says he's going to help me do more tomorrow Big Smile
