I called my Midwife's office to set up an appointment and they scheduled me for this Friday . I'll only be 5 weeks 1 day . Do you think I'm considered high risk because I had issues with my blood pressure last time around ? I didn't have any issues until I was about 30 weeks.I wasn't expecting to be seen so early. Last time my appointment wasn't until I was 8 or 9 weeks along. I guess at least I will get a confirming blood test out of the early visit.
Re: First visit timing ?
That does seem pretty early. I just made my 1st appointment this morning and they were aiming for 8-10 weeks.
You may be high risk, or maybe they just want to see your pretty face? Haha, oh well. Maybe they've changed their operations to have earlier visits? I guess you'll find out soon!

"It is never too late to be what you might have been.
I had my first appointment last week, when I was 4 weeks, 5 days. I am not high risk, but I am a first-timer and a new patient. I think some offices bring people in early so you can meet the doctor, ask questions, etc.
It was just a urine test, brief exam, and question-answer session. I scheduled my first u/s and next doctor's visit, as well.
