WCM causing diaper rash?

A few weeks ago I started giving some WCM to LO in a sippy, and during that week he developed his first real diaper rash. It was bright red and so painful he screamed when I wiped him. =(

For the last 10 days we were visiting IL's out of state and gave no WCM, and the rash cleared up. We got home yesterday and gave some WCM, and this morning the rash is back.

I'm confused because I EP'ed for 10 months, ate diary, and he was fine. He also eats lots of cheese and yogurt with no issues...so could it be the milk or is it just a coincidence? Is there a test his pedi could do for milk intolerance?

    Yeah C seemed to have a bright red butt when we first started introducing WCM. 

    I held off for a couple weeks then went back and it didn't seem to bother her as much then.  Don't know what to tell you really other than maybe he/she'll get used to it at some point?

    My little guy seems to have a perpetual red bum now that we've started WCM too. I've been thinking it might have something to do with the milk...and waiting to see if he gets over it, as he gets used to milk. We keep loading him up with butt paste and A&D ointment, so he's not terribly uncomfy...but I do notice when he poops he's less then thrilled with diaper changes. We use wet paper towels to change him lately, so the soap in wipes won't aggravate his bottom even more.
