Did your water break in public?

Hello! I am currently 37 weeks 3 days pregnant and a member of the July 2012 board. I was wondering if anybody here has ever had their water break in public. I'd love to hear your story. I'm paranoid for that to happen to me, lol. Thanks!

Mine didn't break in public, I was at home. I also didn't have a big gush like most people talk about. It wasn't even a trickle. I only felt a small gush like when you sneeze whenever I stood up.

The doctor had to break mine. There was barley anything that came out anyway though b/c LO was down so far.

mine broke at home as i sat up to get out of bed for a 12:30am pee. and it was a gush. a huge gush. there was no doubt what was happening. i mean, i had to sit on the edge of the bed trying to decide if i should wait for it to stop flowing before heading downstairs or not wait and leave a river of water in my wake. i chose to sit and wait. it was definitely the kind of gush you see in movies - so glad i wasn't in public when it happened!

Mine broke while I was outside walking near the hospital. My contractions had already started so I was trying to get things moving along by walking and it worked! It wasn't a huge gush of fluid or anything, I could just tell that my underwear was wet and it was not normal discharge. Nobody was able to tell but me that I was wet. It wasn't until I was on Pitocin for about 30 mins that I began to feel gushes of fluid coming out.

Nope. The1st time it broke spontaneously while I was in the hospital on a birthing ball, & this time the doctor broke it when I was at 8 cm.

nope, the doctor had to break it when I got to 8 cm and it didn't break on its own...

mine broke at my baby shower. rumor has it i broke the toilet at the restaurant we were at b/c of all the toilet paper i used to clean up. Not a fun experience, but one to remember!

Not this pregnancy, but it did with DD. I felt a gush as my husband had his hand on the door to the restaurant where we were going to eat lunch. At that time it was just gushes with the contractions I was having, so we went in and I changed pads in the bathroom and we got our food to go. All while I kept leaking. We went from there to the hospital and when I stepped out of the car in front of the ER I had a gross rupture. It was everywhere dripping down my legs and into my flip flops. I left a trail through the ER and up to L&D.

Nope times 2. With DD#1, it broke during labor at the hospital. With DD#2, my provider broke it to get labor started. But when mine breaks, it's a deluge. I guess I make a lot of amniotic fluid.
