cleaning baby's carseat

DS is quite the little sweat box, especially when he falls alseep in his carseat.  He has left some lovely sweat spots in his car seat and was just wondering if you have any suggestions of what to clean it with. 

I have tried a wet towel, baby wipe, and dish soap-but they haven't really worked!  He will be out if infant carrier this week and I want to clean it well before we store it away for baby #2.

    Check the owner's manual or tag on the car seat cover to be sure, but you should be able to machine wash on gentle then air dry the cover. I've done it several times with our Graco infant seat cover.

    Same as PP.  Our graco could be machine washed, so we washed it and aired dried it and then put it away for when we have another baby.

    Im actually in the middle of that as we type-- I took off the cover and buckles and tossed into washer.  Then I mixed detergent and am washing the straps.  I will water hose it down and let it air dry out side. I've done this before. Try to do it more often. You'll be amazed at what you find in the afterwash.

    Agreed, we've machine washed ours on gentle several times and it came out fine. Just don't try it on super hot, if possible line dry it to prevent shrinking.
