What age do you transition?

LO is about 3 months and 1 week and is still in a bassinet in our room.  She is getting a little long for it, we were going to put her in the pnp for a few more days/weeks.  My main concern is that our bedroom is downstairs and hers is upstairs.  Really, Im probably just a mom freaking out about the transition.  What age did you transition, or when do you plan to transition?

I think you do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Mine is still in our room next to our bed and he is a little over 4 months. I EBF and he still wakes up 1-2 times a night, it's just easier for me and I like having him there. I don't have a set age in mind for moving him, just whenever I feel we are both ready.

It's really a matter of what works for you & your family, but we moved DD to her own room around 10 weeks. She was getting too big and active for her RnP and was only waking 1 or 2 times per night. Our bedroom is on the third floor and hers is on the first floor, so I understand your concern about being on a different floor. Honestly, though, it has not been a big deal at all (much to the dismay and constant worry of my mother - but that's another story). We have a great monitor, so I hear her right away when she wakes up. Plus she sleeps better with just one wakeup now at 11:45.

I agree with doing what works for your family.  We're all different.  We put DS in his crib, in his room on day 2.

I started putting DD in her crib for her naps and then about 3 months I think we started putting her in her crib to start with and when she woke to eat she went back down with us.  Made it pretty easy.  :)

We are on different floors at opposite sides of the house and dd went to her crib at 3.5 mos. That was also when she started daycare so she was sleeping in a crib there. I figured it would be good to start her in her room while she is really tired from starting daycare so she sleeps better. It has gone really well for us but I couldn't do it if we didn't have a video monitor.

We moved DD to her crib/room at 2 months.  She is such a noisy sleeper that we all slept better after that :)

We moved her around 2 months. She was waking a bunch every time we rolled over. She sleeps much better in her own crib. It was tough for me. We have a video monitor and I spent the entire night watching her at the beginning. I still wake up and check her quite a few times. But seeing how much better she sleeps without us making noise makes it totally worth it!

My DD is 4 months and I plan on keeping her in my room until she outgrows the RnP.  I'm just not ready for her to leave my side.  I'm hoping she will last until 6 months!
