How much did you pay for placenta encapsulation?

Just kinda wondering if the fees I'm seeing in my area are typical. I've also had one doula suggest I clean up my own placenta, cut it into small chunks and swallow frozen chunks of it. I'm not so sure I'd be as good about that as taking a pill along with my other supplements/vitamins. Along with the fact that I'm just not sure I could put a frozen chunk of my placenta directly in my mouth. LOL The capsules are a big enough stretch for me to wrap my head around most days.

I'd love to hear the different experiences of you ladies who've ingested your placenta in any way shape or form and how you feel it benefitted you, if you would do it differently next time, etc.

    I paid 250. I notice a difference in my mood when I take it, It also helped increase my milk supply.

    I paid $175. Havent taken them yet though, b/c I was told to not take them when you have an infection and I had a cold immediately after LOs birth, followed by mastitis. Just finished my antibiotics so I'm going to start taking them soon!

    Mine was free, but that is only b/c the midwifery student who was at my birth did it for me.  Otherwise the cost was right around $250, I believe.  I would definitely do it again.  I agree with the pp who mentioned mood stabilization and also the pp who said it helped with milk supply.  GL!
