Re: breakouts

  • I am definitely in the same boat.  I have some awesome stuff that I've been using for about a year now though.  The brand is Mario Badescu and the product is "drying lotion".  You just dab it onto your pimple at night with a Q-tip and it really clears it up quickly,  it without making your face look dried out. It's sort of expensive for such a small bottle, but I swear by it!

Nordstrom sells it and I know Ulta does too.

  • Actually, I have pimples all over my face ALWAYS in my non-pregnant life.  When I get pregnant, my face is always so clear - it's my favorite preg symptom!  I hate having pimples all the time!

  • I have the complexion of a 14-year old boy on a normal day. The week or so after conception i noticed that I was breaking out on my face in spots that were not common breakout spots for me. I guess that was my first symptom.

  • OMG YES!!! My back and shoulder especially.  It is driving me nuts. It hot and I want to wear a tank top of strapless top/dress and my back has zits all over it.  NOT CUTE AT ALL!!

  • ACK yes.  I went off the pill in March, and immediately noticed a slight increase in zittage, but I chalked it up to the hormone change.  Now I'm 8w3d and... I have a zit beard! I used to be very T-zone-y with acne but now it is all on my chin :(

As far as what helps, I'm noticing more deep-skin, cystic acne which I have never really struggled with.  However, I use LUSH Coalface soap and their Grease Lightning tea tree spot treatment, and that works wonders on the surface zits.  Unfortunately, cystic acne is not helped by washing or topical products, so I guess its here to stay for a while.

By the way, LUSH products are all-natural, vegetarian (most are vegan, actually) and have no preservatives, so they are awesome for us preggos!

Ditto for me too!  I bought some acne body wash and am hoping that starts to help... so far no real change :(  And I don't even want to talk about my face, it's a mess and it's PAINFUL!!!
