30 weeks, and her nursery is STILL not even started yet!
well, i guess we have "started" a little bit. we've cleaned up all the stuff that had become piled up in the second bedroom and have now started to take it to storage or Goodwill, depending. but other than that, we haven't bought ANYTHING. the only things we have are those things that my mom, MIL, and sister have given us, or that people from our church have passed along (little girl clothes, extra diapers, etc).
we're trying to hold out on buying anything until after my shower in four weeks...but i just feel so behind.
am i the only one who is this "behind"?
Re: anyone else feeling behind?
This exactly! Working on a different house as we speak. I have some clothes, diapers, a few misc, all packed away in a chest. That's it. I see nursery pictures and feel totally jealous. Oh well, that's my life!
You're definitely not alone. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment, and the spare bedroom for the last 3 years has been DH's self-proclaimed man-cave...and we haven't done any real disassembling yet. We used to have a couch in there, and we were able to find a new home for it, and we've started the process of cleaning out the closet in there, but we're only about half way done.
At this point, we have the crib---no mattress yet in there and assembled, and next week we're getting the dresser for the nursery painted.
Other than that, I'm holding out for the showers. Luckily, my sister and my SIL said they'd be happy to help me get the nursery together after the showers (which aren't until August!)
I just keep thinking...if the baby comes early...we're SOL!
Vroom, vroom.

I'm definitely starting to feel the crunch. I'm trying not to buy anything new until August (saving money now, but I know a handful of people want to buy us something and I don't want duplicates), so I've just got stuff I've found great deals on used.
We also aren't setting up a traditional nursery at all, but will be attaching the crib to the side of our bed sometime in August. It will be a bit annoying, so we don't want to do it early too early, but that means every day I see the crib pieces and get a bit panicky. I guess at least we *have* the crib...it just isn't together.
I'm feeling very stressed about clothes. Someone who works with MiL is supposedly sending us boxes of clothes, which is amazing, but I have no idea WHEN she is sending them, or what else we'll need season-wise. I think that is driving me the craziest - especially since I'd rather wash as much as possible before the baby gets here!
We have a lot to do between now and next weekend to get our house ready for a party, but after that I think weekends will become Baby Prep Central.
