Alexis woke up yesterday with what looked like bags under her eyes, I thought she was just tired so didn't think anything of it. This morning when she woke up it was very noticeable that under her left eye she has a puffy red bag. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, she laughs and plays like normal but I am worried about what it might be. I pulled down her eye lid a bit and it seem to be fine, there is no bump on the inside, so I don't think it's a stye. I was wondering if any of you ladies have experienced this with your little ones. I'm not sure if maybe she is just rubbing her eye too much, it is only in her left eye and not her right. I even thought maybe it was a bug bite but DH doesn't think so. I haven't called my doctor because we just moved out of state and haven't found her doctor yet. My insurance with work doesn't kick in till August so we haven't found her doctor just yet. If it gets worse or doesn't go away I will take her to the doctor just wanted to see if maybe it's just something I can take care of at home. Any advice would be appreciated TIA!

Re: Red Puffy Bag Under LO's Eye
This happens to ds a lot. I was concerned and took him to his pedi a few times and was referred to an opthamologist (sp??? eye doc). Apparently ds has allergies. Eye/skin allergies run on my side of the family. The doc prescribed some antibiotic drops. It's gone, but comes and goes when we are with family/friends who have indoor pets. We have a dog but she's outdoors (big german shep)
I prefer not to use the drops, so I make sure to wash ds hands after we're around pets and use reg OTC cleansing drops (pedi recommended this).
Thanks for the feedback ladies. That was my first thought and now that I think about it more she may be allergic to dogs. Her babysitter has 5 dogs and 2 cats lol so she actually may be allergic to the dogs. She won't be staying there for the next week so hopefully that will give me a chance to see if it clears up with her being away from the dogs.
We are already thinking about putting her in daycare. Her babysitter currently right now can only watch her to a certain time and it's not working for us so if she is allergic to the dogs this gives me a good way out, because I do feel bad about taking her out since Alexis really likes being there.
