When using the bassinet closest to you, can the seat for #1 face out or away from you? If not, have you had any problems w/ the older child facing the bassinet? DD will often spend our shopping trips twisting her body so she can see in front of the cart so I'm hoping I would be able to have her seat facing out when using the bassinet.
Also, can the seat recline w/ the bassinet? I'm thinking it might but only when facing the bassinet.
Re: 1 more City Select bassinet question.
It only fits with the seat facing the bassinet, or at least I can't get it to the fit the other way.
However, my son has long legs (He's in the 98% for height), and we were able to place the bassinet on the bottom, facing in, and my son on the highest setting facing out and he wasn't able to kick her or anything. So that maybe an option for you
ehh.... I'm notorious for sort of crashing the strollers into things. So I wouldn't feel comfortable leading w/ the NB.
I have a 2010 and have fit the bassinet up top and the regular seat facing forward on the bottom. But it's not the easies to get in and it does push the regular seat a little bit. You can only recline the regular seat with it facing the bassinet. for us that wasn't a big deal since my oldest never slept in that stroller and he was 15 mths when ds2 came.
