Anyone have or plan on getting Implanon/Nexplanon? I researched the IUD's and I don't feel comfortable with the string things poking out like wires and also the fact that it might come out without me knowing.. So I started looking at the Implanon/Nexplanon option and it looks like there are all pro's for me. Also, there hasn't been a case of pregnancy while using it so that is a huge relief for me since I'm nursing and might not have a regular period. I'm going to my 2 week PP visit today and I want to bring this subject up now so I can possibly get it at my 6 week PP. Any reviews or suggestions about this BC method would be greatly appreciated

I plan on getting the Implanon. I talked about it with the nurse practitioner and she really likes that form of BC for new moms. You can still breastfeed, it is inserted easily and removed pretty easily (small incision made), and she hasn't heard of anyone getting pregnant on it either. I was also told that there are no problems getting pregnant again after having it removed. IUD's totally freak me out and I don't want to go on the pill so that is why I am going with Implanon.
