Thoughts on these girls names

Hello-

 

I'm definitely more of a lurker than a poster, but was hoping I could get some opinions on our girl name choices. I'm due in less than a week (team green), and we still can't pick a girl name! As of today, the top three picks are Claire, Hannah and Sidney. Thoughts/opinions/suggestions all welcome!!

    My favorite of those is Hannah. I also like Claire. Sydney is okay, but Sidney is the common male spelling so I'd avoid that.

    I will probably be one of the few who really dislikes Claire, but I do like Hannah. I don't mind Sydney, but I think of Sidney as a boy name.

    Sydney is on our long list, I prefer it spelled this way. Hannah would be my 2nd choice from your list. I think Claire makes a great middle name for either Sydney or Hannah.

    My preference 

    1) Claire - pretty. I hear it a lot as a middle name, but not often as a first name.

    2) Hannah - nice, but a little bland/boring for my taste

    3) Sidney - I'm not really a fan of this name (or Sydney), not sure why, just don't care for it much.

    All of those are nice, I really like Claire and would spell Sidney like Sydney

    Love Claire! I like Hannah but it is a little common. Although, Hannah Claire is adorable. Sidney, either spelling, is nice but I always get tongue tied when saying it.

    I like them all.

    1.) Sidney/Sydney and Claire

    2.) Hannah

    Sydney's been on our long list. In theory I prefer the way 'Sidney' looks, because I dislike all the y's in 'Sydney', however, since spelling it with an I is the "male" version of the name I'd be worried people would read the name and assume boy. Also, Sydney is the name of the Australian city and I'd be worried people might think you're spelling the city wrong.

    Two of my favorite students of all time were Sydney and Hannah so I automatically love those names. Claire is great too. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

    My favourite is Hannah.  This is our #1 pick right now if LO2 is a girl.

    Not a big fan of Sidney, and I know I'm in the minority on this but I don't like Claire at all.

    I like Hannah and love the name Sidney (although I'd spell it Sydney). Not much of a fan of Claire. Seems plain to me.
