DS absolutly adores his sister and I thought the newness would wear off after a couple weeks but everytime he sees DD he has to come and see her and either kiss her on the forhead or hold her hand etc.
I feel bad for DD since, DS wakes her up a quite a bit and I have tried to get him to stop and he will for a bit when I tell him but then its like an instant reaction.
Any suggestions?
Re: Those with the new baby and have a 3 or 4 YO
my older one is 5 and she is ALL over the baby in the beginning...I felt bad because it was bothering me so much..as if she was smothering her..but all she wanted to do was love her up and kiss her all over (cutest thing ever) BUT, like you said, it began waking her up and sometimes even making her fussy since she was SO IN HER FACE. I tried to say in a nice way to please not get in her face like that...and to please not give kisses and touch her while she is sleeping...I explained it as if it were her...I would say, " how do you feel when we wake you up for school and you don't want to be woken up yet"...She finally got it and responds better now when I tell her to stop...I even taught her the "never wake a sleeping baby rule"...lol...
I hope you are doing well with you new little one. I remember you from the SIF board...
Thank you for your response. We are doing really well. I am so blessed that DD is so good, just gets fussy every once in a while, especially with DS being so much in her face etc.
How are you? I remember you too, you got your BFP right after I joined the board.
This is pretty much me too with my DD in LO's face sometimes. I remind her a lot but she still does it. Luckily, if LO is in a deep enough sleep it won't bother him. I also have to remind her to talk quietly when LO is sleeping. She needs reminded of this all the time...Lol. She's a talker and not a quiet one
