Hupdate; preparing for and expecting the worst brings the best! Our power is on!!!! My feet are so swollen and purple I cant walk so that means DH gets to do all the fixing up downstairs. lol

aving no power! Anyone else as fortuate as I am to be roughing it for up to a WEEK?!

    Ugh! That would be terrible!! I at least have a fan in front of me.  I hope you have a pool near by or someplace to go to cool off :(

    Ugh! We lost power last night around midnight.. THANK THE GODS it JUST came back on... only 18hrs without.. but, several other areas of our town aren't expecting to have theirs back on until the 6th of July!! Crazy!

    I'm thankful to not have any damage though -- we had terrible, awful storms roll through last night.. trees are down everywhere.. people's roofs are blown off.. trees fallen through homes, or fences, or on cars.. 

    Parvin state park is ~10 minutes from my house.. apparently two children were killed in the storm.. they were camping in a tent, and a tree fell :(  So incredibly devastating.. 

    Hang in there Noah -- do you have any family close by that you can camp out with?  We went and spent the day with my parents.. came home and unloaded our fridge and 2 freezers.. packed into coolers.. packed the car.. and, as we were driving away, saw electric company working on a nearby telephone pole.. guy said, this would restore power on our street, so, turned around, went back to the house and waited.. figured we'd give it half an hour (since, food was all defrosting!!).. anway.. 10 minutes later, power came on!! Sucked to have to cart everything back in.. but, at least my fridge and freezers are nice and cleaned out!!

    Loss #1: 18w5d.. D&E 04Mar03 BFP #2: Jun2011.. missed miscarriage. D&C 08Jul2011 8w4d. BFP #3: Nov2011.. Our Rainbow Baby!!! DS Born: 15Jul2012! BFP #4: Nov2012.. 2U1 - DS2 born 12Jul2013.  BFP #5: 01Jan2014..3U3!!

    I hope you guys get power back soon. Ours was only our for about 12 hours this time. Hang in there!

    OMG, I would go stay in a hotel. Seriously, I'm sweating at 70 degrees. I hope it comes back on a lot sooner than a week!

    I'm glad they got the power back up quickly. That's one thing I'm greatful for in AZ, we don't really get power outages for the most part out here. Sure occasionally someone knocks down a power pole, but we have a nuclear plant not to far away so we don't get rolling black outs like when I lived in CA. I think with the heat out here in the summer people would die if the power went out.

    I am so glad you got power back!! There are a number of cities nearby that lost power, and are still out. I don't know that I would have been able to manage!
