I've gotten some conflicting information - how old before I can start back carrying? I've heard three month, I've heard six months, I've heard sitting up stable on their own... What should I listen to?
Well...I've been back wrapping since 6 weeks or so. I always make sure her back is completely covered and she's high enough that her cheek is resting on the nape of my neck. If she falls asleep, I can pull the wrap up behind her head so it's not flopping around.
The answer may vary depending on what carrier you're using (soft structured carrier v. woven wrap).

With a woven wrap, you can wrap a tiny baby on your back. With the ssc, it's best to wait til they have head control. With carriers like the Moby, never!
I currently have a summer weight woven wrap from lil peepers keepers on etsy and a mei tei... I have not used the moby since she was just over a month old ...
