I feel like I've been MIA this week but here's why:
We survived our trip to DH's family (previous post), but it felt like we did so by the skin of our teeth. Let me tell ya, an 18+ hour roadtrip (one way) with a 7mo LO is not fun. DD did amazingly well, better than I ever could of expected, but even a child as patient as ours has her limits. We were gone for a full week and with the exeption of 2 days, we spent at least 3hrs in the car everyday.
At least there wasn't the family super-drama that I was expecting, so that was nice. AND DH did agree to stay in a hotel for a few nights and not stay with his family the whole time (definitely helped that his family decided a hotel was the way to go as well while everyone was traveling for the wedding). Always a good thing when things turn out better than anticipated as opposed to the the other way around. I have to admit, I do love DH's family (even though they make me want to rip my hair out on a pretty regular basis).
Now we are home sweet home, and I don't anticipate making that particular trip anytime soon. So thankful and so glad to get back to the board (as much as possible anyway).
Happy Thursday!
