When I went in for my NT scan, the tech told me that my placenta was in the front so I may not feel the baby kick as much when it starts.
Has anyone had this in a previous pregnancy? Did you feel any kicks at all?
I'm pretty sure once it gets big, it will still probably jab me in the ribs pretty good, but it will be sad if DH won't be able to feel it from the outside.
Re: Anyone have/had anterior placenta?
I had one with DD. It can cause you to feel the kicks a little later. I first felt her for sure (before that I didn't know if it was just gas) at 20w3d. We were lying in bed, and I grabbed DH's hand and put it on the spot. He felt her, too. Your placenta won't take up the entire front of your uterus, just part of it. It's not that big of a deal. I don't know percentages, but a lot of women on my bmb had them, too.
ETA: Later on, both DH and I could feel her kicks/punches over all of my stomach, even in the area that the placenta covered. Babies get strong!
