MH and I decided after todays fiasco (long story) that we would not remain with our kids pedi. Pedi just doesn't listen, and today, told me that I was wrong. So, I called the insurance, and the only practice open taking new patients is a family practice. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any advice? TIA

Re: New pedi vs. Family practice
Same here. We see the NP at the family practice and she has been great. I love going to her. She is very knowledgeable but knows her limitations and will consult with the doctor when she doesn't know the answer.
She is also very diligent about keeping up to date about pediatric care, unlike many pedis I hear my friends interact with. They seem stuck in their ways (just a stereotype I guess).
