Question about period returning after m/c

I started miscarrying on June 5th at 5 weeks pregnant. When would you expect your next period? Approx. 28 days from start of mc or end of mc ? Does it just show up willy-nilly? How long would you go w/o a period before you contact your dr? Thanks!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Typically AF arrives 4-6 weeks after miscarriage, but can take up to 8 weeks. Usually notify your physician if no period after 60 days. HTH

It really depends on the individual, my cyles have been pretty crazy post-miscarriage. I really can't remember exactly how long it took to get my period after the first and second losses but I know it was unusual whatever it was. I believe if you don't get your period after 2 months you're supposed to check in with your doctor and they can give you some further advice.

My cycles pre-miscarriage were 28-30 days. I finally got my AF which came 32 days after my d&c. Like the other ladies have said, I think its mostly common to get af 4-6 weeks after you miscarry. Good luck;)
