Has anyone made or seen any cute baby crafts? I'm having a craft day with my friends this weekend and I've been itching to make some baby stuff! It's kind of hard not knowing what it is yet but I still wanna make some stuff. Any ideas?
I did these yesterday. $1 wooden frames from Michael's and scrapbook paper...they turned out really cute. I used a gray paper with darker gray pictures of old chairs on a square frame and on an oval frame I used a yellow and gray gingham. I am going to use a ribbon to hang the frames and put the kids initials in the middle.
I'm crocheting a little cardigan for a friend who is due in August. I might look into some crochet patterns when that one is done. I really want to make our baby a baby blanket that he or she can have as a keepsake for a long time, but I may wait to find out the gender first.

These are super cute! I am not naturally a very crafty person but I do want to make some "art" (I use the term lightly as I have no artistic instinct at all!) to hang in the nursery.
I am making a puff quilt for LO. We don't find out until they are born if we are having boys or girls, so I picked some cute gender neutral colors and will get started on it soon. I am also making some photo frames, different from the ones that a PP posted. I am just painting and antiquing them. For DD's room before she was born I had painted some little pictures to hang in her room, which have since been replaced by cupcakes that I painted. I also painted some cute little shelves for her room. They were CD crates from Michaels that I painted and then hung sideways so they were like shelves instead of bins.

I'm pretty crafty but I lose interest quickly...these were seriously fast and easy. The best thing about them is that they are cheap and if you mess up you wasted a $1.50 or so...even then you probably just wasted the paper. I am making more tomorrow and will glue the paper on the frame first and then cut the extra paper off (instead of trying to line it up later) You should really just do it and then let me know how it turns out.
I am doing an alphabet nursery so I got all the wood letters and am going to start next month painting them. Then I am also using chipboard letters and redoing a dresser

For DS I knit a blanket. It ended up being small and I don't think I have the energy to make a second.... (bad mom...)
You could make a mobile for the nursery!
Or sew baby blocks. Check out pinterest so many fabulous ideas
