Friday Fluff and update
I think I said something a couple of weeks ago about a better faux hawk. Last night I got the sides sheared almost off and the hawk made thinner but still tall. Why didn't I do this before?

Okay most of my time alone in the car is spent with Ky in tow too so it is a lot of kiddie stuff too. But when I am alone I crank the radio up and play CRAP!

Brandi Carlile. Brandi Carlile. Brandi Carlile. Need I say more??? My faves are "The Story" and "Turpentine". She has a brand new album out that I'm learning the lyrics to and it's got some good ones. If you girls haven't listened to her, you are missing out! Her style is such a mix, I don't know how to describe it country/folk/rock it's just good. And her voice is just amazing. And hot...yes I did say she is HOT and she is family too!!!

M refers to Brandi Carlile as her wife. I've decided to let it go...she is pretty awesome. Saw her in concert again last week--my fav on the new album is "Keep Your Heart Young"
But, for singing my heart out, I admit to being known in college for my kareoke bar rendition of It's Raining Men....I "performed" it at my wedding reception:) I can't help it when I hear it!
Haha! Brandi recently announced her engagement to a gorgeous lady named Catherine Shepherd who was working as a charity coordinator for Paul McCartney when they met. She is now heading up Brandi's foundation. So sadly, you'll have to tell M that Brandi's off the market!
I screech along to anything that's playing, badly and with the wrong words but my favorites to do this to are pretty much anything by rage against the machine and transvision vamp (Wendy James - my first girl crush next to the childlike empress...)

I am in love with Brandi Carlile in a major, major way. Love her music, think she's super hot, can't get enough. I'll sing along too.
The two that stand out for me are:
Use Somebody by Kings of Leon - not a huge fan of the group, but this hot local lesbian rocker sang it at one of my and C's first dates, so this song always reminds me of that. It also happens to be my go to karaoke song.
Don't Stop Believin' - I almost never drive and keep 3 CDs in the car for the rare occasions I do. One is volume 1 of the Glee soundtrack, and this is my favorite sing along on the CD. I also karaoked this one at my bachelorette party.
Is it some sort of diagnosable sickness that I want to YouTube my (drunk) self karaoking for my friends on the Internet? Would that count as a PIP Thursday?

I absolutely love Bowling for Soup. If I hear Emily by them it's over and I am all giddy and singing loudly. I will also anything by Off by One or No FX. There are a few others like Baby Got Back and Ice Ice Baby etc that always get me signing. I love funny songs so the funnier the better the more likely I will sing it. M get's mad as I make up my own words sometimes
