When you feel it, where do you feel it?

I'm 18 weeks and dying to feel the flutters!! I thought I felt something this morning but it was a little high up on the left side of my belly. But I thought that might be too high to be the baby.

So my question for those of you who are feeling the flutters or STM who remember. Where in my belly will I feel the first flutters. This might be a silly question, but I just don't know.

  • I'm 18 weeks too and I feel our baby right below my belly button, sometimes slightly to the left and other times to the right. It's very noticeable to me but I can only feel the baby when I'm sitting very still.  Hope this helps!

  • At 18 weeks I think I only felt her moving/kicking at night time but I had to lay on my back and stay very still in order to feel anything. It was always bellow my belly button (closer to my whoo-haa!). Now at 20 weeks I feel her kicking and moving allll day in there :) DH and MIL have felt her as well! Don't worry, everyone is different. You will feel your little one soon.

  • This little girl has been kicking for weeks. It really depends. Sometimes I feel her between my hip bones, sometimes I feel her right by my belly button.  If I am laying on my side I can feel her on the opposite side of my body.

  • I feel mine extremely low and normally to the left hand side. I'm sure it varies based on the positioning of the baby.

  • I am 18 wks and I have been feeling him (Finally!!) for the past week. When I do feel it, it's either below my belly button, or to the left below my belly button. Last night was the first night that I have felt 3 definite "pokes" in a row. I was so excited!!! I mostly feel it after I eat.

  • 21 weeks tomorrow (woah!) and I'm still mostly feeling baby very low, close to my left groin. Sometimes I'll feel something pretty parallel to my belly button but not often. I'm thinking I've got a low-rider and I'm a little nervous about that!

  • I mostly feel her below my belly button, however, lately I have felt some pokes up by my belly button.  At 18 weeks, it seemed to be lower.  I find that she is usually is on my left side, but not always.  She's definitely more active after eating and when I'm relaxed.
  • My love spends most of her time transverse and rear facing.  If you think of my stomach as a ball, the very center of the ball is where I feel her most.  She kicks inward instead of outward.  She's also implanted strongly to the left, so I get RLP when she rolls in addition to when I sit/stand.

We have the same due date!

I know I'm going to feel it soon. But I'm so anxious because everyone keeps asking me if I've felt anything yet.

  • Below the belly button but mostly in the center and not to either side. The movements aren't very strong so it is sort of a general feeling.

  • Low when it started a couple of weeks ago, and still pretty low.  Below the belly button, for sure.  He's especially a morning person, right after I pee. (I think because it frees up some room for his swimming practice.)

  • if I am sitting or standing and he or she moves then I feel the movement below my belly button, but if i am laying on my side, with my belly kind of squished into the bed, it seems i feel the movement higher, could just be where i'm squishing the area.

I feel flutters at bely button level across my belly. The "kicks" or "pokes" I feel are just below my belly button either to the left or right. I'm starting to feel them more consistently, but mostly when lying down still or after I eat or drink something cold.

This is the part I was waiting for! : )
