I'M PREGNANT!!! lol
Okay, so my husband and I have known for awhile (few weeks), but I just got back from my first appt. and they confirmed. Good heartbeat, measuring on track, etc. Tomorrow I will be 9 weeks already!!! Now, I want to tell my 4.5 yr old daughter and our parents ASAP.
Second time mommies...what do you think? Is it too soon to tell my daughter? She's been wanting a sibling for awhile and although I had some complications with her (bleeding first trimester), everyday I am constantly nauseous reminding me that I'm pregnant and everything looks good. How soon did you tell?

I don't plan to tell DD for a while. I think she is too little to understand, especially since it will be such a long time. I will also wait until I am out to everyone since you can't really trust a 2 year old with a secret.
I will probably wait until I have a noticible bump to try to explain it to her.
BFP 11/09 - DD 7/10 - BFP 8/11 - M/C 9/11 - BFP 6/12 - DD - 2/13
Your ticker isn't working so I don't know how old your LO is, but I have mixed feelings on telling DD. First of all, unless you are ready for the world to know I wouldn't tell. The last thing you need is to be with someone you're not ready to know yet and have your child tell them "there's a baby in mommy's tummy" or something like that.
We told DD right away just because we were so excited and she wanted to know why we were so happy. She decided that she is going to have a baby sister (although that has changed over the last few weeks back and forth between brother and sister) and she has been really cute and excited about it. I took her to my OB appointment this week so she could hear the HB and she was really excited about that.
That being said she kind of harps on wanting her baby here. The night we told her she asked for her baby sister every 5 minutes. I was totally regretting my decision to tell her that night thinking it was going to be a LOOOONG pregnancy if she kept asking that frequently lol. But it seemed to have worked out well and she is excited now.
Also, just something to think about-I have not told her any of my symptoms are because of the baby/pregnancy. I've been puking a lot and she is concerned and I don't want her thinking the baby is making me puke and starting to not like the baby because of that already. Fortunately she is small enough still to not put 2 and 2 together.
