Taking a month off

I am thinking of taking a month off from temping, charting and using opks. I figure a month with no stress could probably be a good thing, so for those of you that have taken a break, did you find it to be less stressful or more stressful because of the unknown?

    The first month off BCP I didn't temp/chart.  I feel that if I took a month off from doing all that after 7 cycles, I'd be driving myself crazy as far as timing and wondering how many DPO I would be and everything else that all the phantom symptoms can bring on.  At least I know it's too early for those by charting/temping vs not even knowing where I am in my cycle.  I think a break from it would be less stressful as a daily task, but the not knowing would bug the hell out of me.  This cycle I am only temping while we have sex EOD, I'm not worrying about CM or OPKs and that's been a little less to deal with.  GL in whatever you decide.

    I tried to take a month off last cycle but it didn't work out too well.  Not temping was fine with me because my chart is all over the place anyway, but I couldn't stop myself from using OPK's.  I just needed to know that I ovulated and still try to time it.  Of course I ended up with barely a positive for maybe a few hours and then a ruptured cyst 6dpo, so it didn't really matter.  But I think I would have stressed over not knowing more than stressed over knowing.  Not temping was a bit of relief though because I wasn't constantly looking at my chart during the 2WW and analyzing my temps with "well maybe it could be, no it's not, well maybe."

    Honestly, you won't know if you can do it or not until you try.  Some people are fine with taking a complete break and some aren't.  Give it a whirl and see how you do.  GL!!

    We took a month off to see what would happen, and yes it drove me crazy. And needless to say, I didn't get KU. I probably missed my FW all together.

    Thanks for the responses. I am thinking one month stress free (if that's even possible haha) might help my sanity... I am over analyzing everything and need to take a chart break haha... We shall see how it goes!
