I'm been trying to concieve for a yr, started seeing dr. in Jan that put my on meds to get my period going, then started clomid in Feb to get me ovulating. I've been on two pills per day every month and this month I had my first ultrasound to watch for how the follicles develop. Well they found out I have 7 cysts total between my two ovaries. They range in size but some are upto three inches! So now I can't do chlomid for at least 6 wks and have to have an ultra sound them to see if they've gone away on their own.
My question is who's had these, and how long did it take for them to go away. Also did you continue on clomid afterwards and has anyone gotten pregnant afterwards or during your months off clomid? So worried I won't be able to get pregnant! So bummed we can really try this month!
Oh and I've had cysts before that have ruptured and burst, do any of you know if you have a history of cysts before clomid, does this mean I'm prone to them and is there any meds that don't cause these?
Re: cysts on my ovaries caused by clomid
I would ask your dr about injectable meds, they are suppose to be more like the hormones your body produces.
Also I thought you can only do clomid for 6 months only?
I would see an RE if I were you, if you have been TTC for a year with no luck, its time to go to the RE, you will be better monitored and prob put on injectable meds....
versace1008, thanks for your reply, sorry I'm kinda bad at catching onto things on here,, what does RE stand for?
That's good tips tho, I'll look into it!
They both are basically FSH, whether your brain producing it (clomid/letrozole) or a synthetic form or it being injected directly into your system. Also see the FAQ/LINKS, lots of Clomid info.

Please go to an RE! They can better assist you than an OBGYN. Usually OBGYN's don't really know what they are doing to help you get pregnant and hand out clomid like its candy without monitoring. They take care of the other end.....when you are pregnant! An RE is the more appropriate choice if you are trying to get pregnant.
Plus, be very careful with those cysts! Usually they take care of themselves, but I had one that burst. OUCH, was that ever so painful!!!!!
